“If Salman Rushdie is telling you bedtime stories, you’re likely to become a happy insomniac,” said Randy Boyagoda, professor of English literature at Ryerson University. He spoke on Nov. 24 at the Toronto Reference Library where Salman Rushdie shared his latest book Luka and the Fire of Life.

The launch parties of most literary journals centre around readings by the published authors. They don't usually include walls lined with photography, digital media or dramatic monologues flavoured in equal measure by Eminem and Hamlet. But the White Wall Review isn't like most other literary journals.
