Biography:

Lesley Salvadori joined the Journalism department in 1987 as a Technical Lab Assistant.  In 1994 she was promoted to Broadcast Technical Coordinator. In 2010 her job title was changed to News Media Technical Coordinator to reflect and include online and multimedia production.  She now oversees and is responsible for Journalism News Media Production Specialists and coordination of daily technical requirements for both Graduate and Under Graduate programs.  She is responsible for equipment maintenance and purchasing for all multimedia requirements. In addition Lesley is the System Manager for the iNEWS newsroom system and the Grass Valley News Edit system.  Lesley also teaches Video Production Techniques (JRN 310).

Lesley spent many years as a freelance camera operator and editor, and worked extensively preparing proposals for cable television in Florida, England and Grand Cayman Islands.

She graduated with a degree from Ryerson's Radio and Television Arts program

Current Courses:

Lesley teaches 3rd year Television Production Techniques JRN310 in the fall and winter terms.

Professional Affiliations:

Lesley is an executive member of Ryerson OPSEU Local 596 and is also the Union Steward for the Rogers Communication Centre.  She is also a member of CUPE.

She sits on several committees including the Rogers Communication Centre Operations Committee, Equipment Committee and Technical Committee, as well as the Ryerson School of Journalism School Council and Curriculum Committee.

Lesley is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters and attends annual conferences in the USA.
